Prior to CBI, Mr. Kerbs worked in the area of Personal Protection. He was the Personal Protection Agent for such recognizable celebrities as Carol Burnett, Bill Cosby, Muhammad Ali, and Della Reese.  Mr. Kerbs was successful because he was able to provide this service without being personally intrusive. Mr. Kerbs became a highly sought after Personal Protection Agent and eventually opened CBI Security Services.  Because of Mr. Kerbs contacts in the film industry and corporate America, CBI was able to obtain contracts to provide Personal Protection and Physical Security to many Hollywood studios. In fact, one of the first contracts CBI obtained was the popular television series “Touched By Angel”.

Mr. Kerbs direction and leadership have taken CBI from a small local security company to one of the largest security contractors in the West.
